Well, the candle and music challenges with Courtney were EASY and PERFECT for me.
This week is a little harder but still much needed for me…
List a few of the spots in your home that make you visually stressed because of all the clutter. Now go buy something for that spot – like a basket to put it all in! Work on cleaning up clutter. Throw things away. While you’re at it – clean up some clutter in your spiritual life. What gets in the way of your peace spiritually?
My three clutter problem spots are:
*The kitchen – counters and table
*My dresser
*The foot of Big J’s bed
{I’m sure my hubby is nodding his head right now as he reads this!}
So here we go – we’ll see what I can accomplish before I leave on Thursday!
As far as the Maximize Your Mornings challenge, I was up at 6:00 am EVERY DAY last week AND had great time in the Word before the boys were up! It was WONDERFUL.
Now this week, we’re supposed to add in exercise.
Ugh.
I might have to count packing as my early morning exercise this week and try the “real” stuff next week! But I will do it…I guess…
Still working on closet organization but I did make steps in making our bedroom less cluttered this week – until I started packing of course!
So here is what I would love to know from YOU this week:
#1 – Most cluttered place in your house?
#2 – Favorite music to clean by?
#3 – Do you exercise daily? If so, what do you do?
I need some inspiration! Help a girl out!
And have a blessed week!

Make yourself at home and follow along – we love having you here!
1. Most cluttered…a better question would be LEAST cluttered…*sigh* Actually, it’s all my counters. Our kitchen is just one big drop-off spot.
2. I kinda like no music. *gasp*
3. I walk when I wake up in the morning…before I read my Bible. It keeps me awake. 🙂
Most cluttered spot in our house is my closet and kitchen. I don’t have a dresser so I have piles of clothes in my closet (folded piles, but they bother me nonetheless) but until we can afford a dresser…that’ll stay the same. The kitchen – we just don’t have enough counter/cupboard space.
My favorite music varies. Casting Crowns, Garth Brooks, Britney Spears, Madonna, CCR, Queen, All-American Rejects, Nelly, Lil Jon. I like it all it just depends on the day.
I don’t exercise EVERY day because you’re not supposed to (2 days of rest is recommended but not always followed). I run 4x a week and would like to start doing yoga (again) 2x a week.
Most cluttered place? Definitely my desk. & I HATE that because honestly, it’s not me. It’s all the stuff we’re wrestling out of Harrison’s reach because my desk is in his “playroom” area. So there’s everything from cups, coffee mugs, keys, cell phones, nail polish, & the cameras.
Cleaning music? I just put it on my “Favorites” playlist, which includes everything from Kanye to Taylor Swift to Relient K to Britney Spears.
& I am JUST NOW starting to exercise every day. Today was my first run on the Couch to 5K program & I am stoked for it. I’m really looking forward to toning up & getting some stress out.
#1 – Most cluttered place in your house?
My closet. I’m not actually a clean and organized person. I just realize the benefits of it. So I let my closet be my messy spot.
#2 – Favorite music to clean by?
Andrea Bocelli. Gives me vision for how I want my home to feel. Gorgeous, grand and soothing.
#3 – Do you exercise daily? If so, what do you do?
I run a few times a week and I do push ups and situps daily. I recently bought a pull up bar (the kind that doesn’t need installation) so I’ll just carry it around the house and stick it in a door way and do a pull up and a half (since that’s all I’m capable of) whenever I get a chance.
FYI – Erin, I tried to click reply under Amanda’s comment, but it doesn’t seem to work.
Amanda – despite your reply to #2, somehow I still think you’re cool. Seriously, you must have some massive cool mojo to offset that… 🙂
1. Most cluttered place…my desk where our PC is…ironically enough I rarely use that computer, but it magically stays cluttered. I actually tried to declutter it last night…but that didn’t happen…having difficulties parting with things…. 2nd most cluttered place is our extra bedroom closet…nice place to keep things and out of sight out of mind–right??!!
2. I clean in complete silence, because typically is during naptime if it is something I don’t want the kidlets to help with…so I try to be as quiet as can bed.
3. Yes…I consider walking around the house and chasing kids all day exercise….ok…not really, but I am super motivated to start working out after the first of the year and this baby is 6 weeks old and I should be good to go!
#1 – My sideboard and the drawers in it. I hide all the stuff that gets put on the counter in there. It’s dreadful!
#2 – Favorite music to clean by – anything lively. I love that Dynamite clip with the guy that makes the music with just his mouth – very fun. I think we dance around more than we clean. But it’s fun anyway.
#3 – I do try to exercise daily, but don’t always. I lift weights 3 times a week and do cardio 3 times a week. For the cardio I like to do interval training – quick bursts with lots of energy. I can exercise for shorter periods of time that way 🙂
#1: I would have to say 3 places are badly cluttered: the laundry room, my desk, and the kitchen counters.
#2: Black Gospel music. My favorite song this month has been “He’s Able” by Kirk Franklin.
#3: Unfortunately I don’t exercise as much as I could. Walking to pick up my girls from school would be 30 minutes of exercise. Often I try to make up time by riding my bike there and then walking back, which means I get less exercise. But it still beats driving!!
Great questions, Erin! Thanks for helping us come clean. =)
Just stopped by from Courtney’s blog and glad were in this challenge together 🙂
1. Urg… I worked on one spot but, I still have living room closet… Little girls room… Cabinets and other places I’m sure :/
2. Christian hip hop… Lecrae (CDs REBEL and REHAB)
3. Urg again lol I’m working on this 🙂 I do think house work should count as something 😉
