There was pink. Lots and lots of pink.
And as a boy mom, I loved every second of the girlieness. (Not sure that’s a word, but I don’t care!)
And it was all for our dear friend who is “About to Hatch” her first little one.
How cute are the decorations?!?!
There was also lots and lots of yummy food.
I love baby showers.
I love the opportunity to bless a new mommy, to celebrate new life, to ooh and aah over all things baby, to laugh and cry and laugh until we cry with good friends.
This lovely lady and her precious baby girl were the reason for our celebration. And as the presents were unwrapped, so were so many wonderful memories from my pregnancies that I had not thought about in so long.
There really is almost nothing more amazing and awe-inspiring than having life growing inside of you – except the wonder and joy of unwrapping that gift as the life is born and grows up before your eyes.
Wow.
I’m going to go hug my babies.
And get ready to spoil a new little girl next month. Because pink is fun.
I’m joining Tuesdays Unwrapped over at Chatting at the Sky to celebrate the beauty of the small moments in life.
What caused you to stop and smile this week?

Remember a few months ago when we had a bunch of giveaways from some of my fellow Relevant attendees? Wasn’t that fun?
Well, Megan from the Half-Pint House is still at work making her lovely zippy bags and trying to pay her way to the conference! Check out her adorable blog to find out more and hop on over to her shop to get some cuteness for yourself! You won’t regret it – my zippy bag gets used every day! And she has added more amazing stuff that you need to go see!
Yes, pink is fun. Waiting on a bundle of pink that is my first grandchild any day now. What a beautiful baby shower you hosted! Lovely mom-to-be.
I may be getting to baby-sit some girls on Sunday. I’m excited; I told them they can watch a girl movie with me! I NEVER get to watch girl movies (i.e. Disney girl movies not chick flicks haha). 🙂
This was a beautiful shower. Those decorations looked awesome. What was in those almond bark covered goodies?
What cute decorations!! Pink can be so fun!! =)
I loved both my boy baby and my girl babies equally – but the girls were a LOT more fun to dress. 🙂
AWW! 🙂 Everything is so darling… love it!
Oh, pink is crazy fun! 🙂 I was a boy mom for 6 years before we added some pink, and I appreciate every day the fun of all the frillies and a little girl who loves things that are “pitty.” 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I’m having a hard time picturing a little girl added to our line up here but it also looks like lots of fun! But no more additions for now!
That looks like so much fun…and I spy cake balls!
