LulaRoe + The Amelia Dress

I received this dress to review. I was not compensated in any other way for this post and all opinions are 100% my own!

I’m a little late to the LulaRoe game, but when my first pieces arrived, I was instantly in love.

First of all, there are the leggings. They are just as soft and lovely as everyone says. You need some. End of discussion.

But I want to talk about a different LulaRoe piece today: the Amelia dress.

Amelia Simple

The Amelia dress is simply one of the most comfortable and practical dresses I’ve ever owned. The flattering cut and length paired with POCKETS makes it every woman’s best wardrobe friend. And with LulaRoe, you know it comes in a million different unique colors and prints! NOTE: I’m wearing an XS, but a S could work for me as well. The fit of the Amelia depends on the fabric, so check on that before buying!

I went with the most simple styling for this first look so you could see the whole dress in all its wonder. I can’t wait for it to warm up outside (for good) so I replicate this outfit often – fun flats and classic jewelry is all you need to complement the Amelia!

Amelia Rainy Day

The reality is the weather in Nebraska is not quite warm enough on a regular basis for bare arms and legs yet, so, for now, I’m more likely to grab a cozy sweater or hoodie, some leggings, and bright boots to pair with my Amelia! I love that the dress is not too fancy to be lived in on a “normal day.”

Amelia Casual

The Amelia can also be a comfy spring day dress with a whole lot of flair! I’m loving it with my white denim jacket and Converse.

I’ve worn this dress with a black cardigan and black riding boots to church, and I could also throw it on with brown wedge sandals. I am telling you – there are endless ways to wear the Amelia dress!

LulaRoe is a fun company that operates through individual consultants, like my friend Danielle! LulaRoe offers leggings, dresses, tees, tunics, and more, all high quality and super comfortable. They make a limited number of each style and pattern, so the inventory of each consultant is unique and always changing! If you see something you like in your size, you better grab it quick because you might not find that exact piece again!

Did you know this is my birthday week?

Yep. I’m turning 35 on Friday, so I thought I might throw a little LulaRoe party for you Thursday night to celebrate! Is there any better way to celebrate than with shopping?! I think not.

Here are the details so you can join in on the LulaRoe fun:

  • Where: Danielle’s LulaRoe Facebook group (just ask to join the group!)
  • When: Thursday, March 24th at 8PM CST
  • What to expect: Just join the group before the 8PM party to find all the details on how to buy, sizing, and more!
  • Special bonus for YOU: When you checkout at the end of the party, use the code “homewiththeboys” to get free shipping on your order!

Danielle is so helpful and ships items out quickly – shopping her parties is easy and fun! I hope you’ll join us Thursday evening and maybe grab a fabulous Amelia dress of your own! See you then!

Do you own any LulaRoe pieces yet? What are your favorites?

Fourth of July Outfits!

Who’s ready for the Fourth of July weekend?!

I’m totally ready – time with family, a day at the lake, celebrating our country, the food – it’s all good. I also love the fun Fourth of July outfit options. Red, white, and blue can be mixed together in so many different ways. Whether your holiday celebrations are at the lake, a backyard party, or anywhere else, I have some ideas for how to style your patriotic colors!

4th of July Outfit 1

A navy striped dress is a great staple to have in your summer closet and you’ve already got the blue and white covered for your Fourth of July outfit! Add some red beads and white slip-ons like these from Bzees to keep this classy outfit both dressy and comfy. I’m always a big fan of completing a summer outfit with a fedora.

4th of July Outfit 2

This is my lake Fourth of July outfit – a great patriotic tank, neutral shorts, comfy shoes and simple accessories. Lake days are all about being able to move and be comfortable not matter how hot it may be. We’ve been going to the same lake every Fourth of July since I can remember and this type of outfit has never failed me – why change now?! Did you notice the shape of the flag? So fun.

4th of July Outfit 3

If I was spending the Fourth of July at a backyard party or restaurant with friends, this would be my outfit of choice. I love the long, bold graphic tank paired with classy white capris and the best wedges ever. I really should wear white pants more, but hello, mother of three boys! Actually, I’m the one who usually spills on them…

4th of July Outfit 4

One of my favorite parts of the Fourth of July is sitting around the campfire, making s’mores, singing, laughing and talking with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. By that time of day, we’ve changed into jeans and hoodies, partially because it has cooled off, but mostly to ward off those Minnesota mosquitoes! This year, I’m adding these amazing Mitscoots “The Mark” socks for a little extra USA flair! It’s too late to get your own pair in time for this holiday, but you’ll want to order them now anyways because they are on sale for just $10 AND you can get an extra 20% off your order with the code HWTB20 at checkout!
