Ok, so it wasn’t written specifically for me, but it TOTALLY could have been.
31 Days to Clean: Having a Martha House the Mary Way is a brand new ebook from my dear blogging friend, Sarah Mae {also of Relevant Conference and Like a Warm Cup of Coffee fame}. Sarah Mae has a beautiful heart and is so open and honest in her writing. This is her opening line – in a book about cleaning…
I struggle with managing my home well. Cleaning does not come naturally to me; in fact, I think my DNA is allergic to it.
Yep. That’s me too. I told you she wrote it just for me.
But there are probably MANY more of you who feel exactly like Sarah Mae and I, and that is why she wrote this book.
We’re supposed to pray and read our Bibles and take care of and train our children and love our husband and STILL manage our home as well?! It doesn’t just feel overwhelming – it IS overwhelming.
Sarah Mae’s heart is to help women like you and me get our homes clean and under control for the right reasons – whatever those reasons might be for each of us.
So how is the book broken down?
Obviously there are 31 days – hello! – and each day has a short reflection, followed by two challenges:
*A Martha challenge – a task to clean or organize a part of your house
*A Mary challenge – a “task” to make you think, evaluate and examine your heart
This is NOT a “How-to-make-your-house-perfect-in-31-days” book. But it will motivate you, little by little, to get things in order and keep things in order in a way that works for your family and pleases the Lord!
Sarah Mae posted a “31 Days to Clean” series a few years back on her blog, but this book provides so much more, including a whole list section in the back from List PlanIt.
I am so ready to get started on this book and SO grateful to Sarah Mae for putting this out there for those like me who NEED. SOME. HELP!
I’m excited to tell you this ebook is only $4.99 – MORE than worth it – and you can buy it as a download or for Kindle.
I’m even more excited to tell you that I get to give away TWO copies of this fabulous ebook to two of you!

A HUGE thank you to Sarah Mae for providing a copy of this ebook for me to review! I was not compensated in any other way for this review and all opinions are 100% my own!
I am certainly a Mary….. I think I may be allergic to cleaning too!
I facebooked it!
I liked 31 days on facebook!
I tend towards a Martha – but without actually cleaning anything. Just really being busy all the time… hmmm…
I like her page on FB!
and I shared on FB….
and I tweeted!
Definitely more Mary than Martha…if only my children didn’t require so much “Martha”!
I’m a Mary girl, for sure!
And I liked Sarah Mae’s page on Facebook too. 🙂
Definitely Mary!
A little of both Mary and Martha…but not enough of either to be good at it!
I don’t know that I lean toward either 🙁 I don’t spend enough time with the Lord, but I don’t spend enough time cleaning either. I have my good moments with both though, too.

I tend more towards Martha characteristics. 🙂 Looks like a great book…it sounds challenging! Thanks for hosting the giveaway.
Tough one for me to answer. I’m certainly more of a relationships person and do put those above everything else. BUT, I also find myself busy alot – without getting much done. Cleaning the house is certainly my area of weakness. Hope I can get some help in that area!!

I’m a mix of both. I have my moments of each woman but mostly lean towards Mary 🙂

I tend to lean more towards the Martha side. I can’t wait to read this book!
I just “liked” 31 Days to Clean on facebook under Cynthia Skeen Lesch.
Awesome! I could use this for sure. 🙂 Couldn’t we all?
I liked the 31 days on FB!
I’m probably more of a Martha but not an effective one. I’m always busy but don’t make much progress. Need to work on being more effective so that I have more time for the important things.
I lean towards Martha, but you couldn’t tell by my house. 🙂 Would love some inspiration.
I think Mary.
I am also allergic to cleaning. It’s a struggle. I’d much rather sit & read or enjoy my kids. This book sounds perfect for me too!
You know I want this!
Facebook’d this

I think I am somewhere between a Mary and a Martha!!
I know I’m a little of both. It pretty much depends on how I’m feeling that day!
I am a Martha – but I need to learn how to just SIT and do nothing! HA!
Hmmm … I’m a bit like Mary in that I like to sit at Jesus’ feet and listen, but then I’m not, because I’m not very good at applying it. And I’m a bit like Martha in that I tend to be a bit too anal about trying to make everything perfect, but not totally like her because usually I give up and just don’t do anything. {{sigh}}
Liked them on FB!
Mary, definitely. I love to spend time with people and on making things. Cleaning is not my forte.
I am definitely a Martha type – I need specific tasks but would much rather be motivated to do it! It would make it much easier 🙂
I “liked” the facebook page 31 Days to Clean!
I shared on Facebook! Thanks for hosting these giveaways!!
I am a Martha but I want to be a Mary!!
I “liked” 31 days on FB!
I shared thus on FB!
I am definitely a Martha, but never seem to get anything accomplished.
I tend to lean towards the Martha side in stressing out over the work and toward the Mary side in getting it all done 😉
I lean toward the Martha side. I am a little obsessive about mostly messiness not cleanliness.
Depends on the day, but I’m NEVER consistent!
Definitely Martha. Sometimes I get so absorbed in my duties that I forget/neglect what’s most important. Weird, though, that my house is still a wreck most of the time.
Found you on twitter. Your profile is my life story. 🙂
I shared on facebook…I would love to read this book!
I would love to be a Mary but feel guilty when the house isn’t the best so I would lean more towards a Martha.

I like and Shared with my friends! Would love the book!
I wonder if there is a Martha bone in my body sometimes. I am such a Mary!
