{I know this is What I Wore, but two of the pics in this post are from last year! Just wanted to clarify!}

My love affair with boots started just over a year ago.

Living in Nebraska, they are the PERFECT stylish and warm footwear choice. And there is so much variety in color, style, height, heel – any woman could find a pair she likes!

One of my newest pairs is from Kalso Earth Shoes

{Thursday at the Relevant Conference!}

This is “The Prance” boot – a two-tone, tall-shafted boot with a rounded toe. I love the rugged look of these boots – I feel like I could wear them every day throughout winter, while staying nice and warm!

I hear a lot of women say they don’t get boots because they won’t fit their calves, but this is not a worry with these boots! The full zipper and roomy shaft made it possible to fit even over my regular jeans!

And the special extra with Kalso Earth Shoes is their patented “negative heel.” I had never tried “negative heel” shoes before, but I was pleasantly surprised!

What is a negative heel?

A “negative heel” design sets heel slightly lower than the toes, which mimics walking barefoot in sand by naturally positioning body over the frame. The heel gives you a better walking motion which helps improve posture and reduce joint stress.

I wore these boots all day at the conference on Thursday and also while traveling back on Sunday {which included running though the airport}, and I loved how they felt! My feet did not get sore at all – they were wrapped in comfort!

I would highly recommend Kalso Earth Shoes boots – very high quality!

My absolute favorite source for boots is

These black riding boots may be the most comfortable boots I own. And they are versatile enough to go with everything – dresses, jeggings, leggings and so on!

If you buy one pair of boots, I really think they should be riding boots!

And after having black boots, I knew I needed some brown ones as well! My black boots are leather, but my brown boots are suede!

I love suede for looking a little dressier. The only drawback to suede is having to be careful in wet weather – I did waterproof mine but I still feel a little paranoid!

So those are my Lands’ End boots from last year. I still wear them all the time and find them to be so comfortable and well-made.

Of course, I needed more for this year, so I went for a little more color…

How about those yellow wellies?!

I love rain as it is, but I want a really good downpour so I can go stomp in puddles wearing those beauties! Wellies are very popular this year as a fashion statement as well. I have worn mine around the house, but not out and about yet. Watch for those pics in a future What I Wore post!

And now for the red boots…

{Friday at the Relevant Conference!}

Yep, I’m in love with these. These are the Women’s Benton Mid Heel Pull-on Dress Boots in Cordovan.

The color is unique, the heel is not too high, and the leather is so soft! And the shaft of the boot is very roomy, but didn’t gap on me – perfect combination!

I feel very fancy wearing these without being uncomfortable – every woman should feel fancy now and then!

Have fun with your boot options! They may be a little more expensive, but the comfort and high quality are worth it! Your feet – and your wardrobe – will thank you!
