I have so many books I want to read every year that I need to narrow it down to a list of ten or less that I REALLY want to read so I don’t feel overwhelmed!
This is my reading list for 2012 – a mix of organization and pregnancy and fiction and fashion – something for everyone!
This is not a review list – some of the books I have reviewed already and some I will be reviewing in the near future.
Top Ten Books I Will Be Reading In 2012
1. One Bite at a Time by Tsh Oxenreider {organization, ebook}
Read my review here!
2. No Brainer Wardrobe by Hayley Morgan {fashion, ebook}
Read my review here!
3. Covenant of War (Lion of War Series) by Cliff Graham {fiction}
Read my review of the first book in the series, Day of War, over at The MOB Society!
4. The Pregnancy Companion: A Faith Filled Guide for Your Journey to Motherhood by Jessica Wolstenholm and Dr. Heather Rupe {pregnancy & childbirth}
Of course, I’ve already been reading this, but it’s been a great encouragement and resource through this pregnancy!
5. Unbound Birth by Jenny Yarbrough {pregnancy & childbirth, ebook}
Review coming in February!
6. The Help by Kathryn Stockett {fiction}
I will NOT see the movie until I read the book!
7. The Money Saving Mom’s Budget by Crystal Paine {frugal living}
Review coming soon!
8. Warrior Prayers by Brooke McGlothlin {ebook}
Gone through it before, but starting again tomorrow to pray for all THREE of our boys through the month of February! If you want to go through this with a group, watch for updates later this spring!
9. The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins {fiction}
I know, I know – it’s about time, right?!
10. Grace for the Good Girl by Emily Freeman {faith, women}

Of your list, #’s 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, and 10 are on my to-read list (and possibly 7). I’ve already read the Hunger Games (the whole trilogy), but I want to read them again – a lot slower this time. I read all 3 in a day and a half the first time!
I also have a bunch of classics on my Kindle to go through as well as a (daily getting longer) list of other books, which is somewhere I can’t remember right now.
We’ll just have to keep each other accountable on actually reading those books! And I’m glad to hear how much you loved The Hunger Games – excited to dive in!
this is a fantastic list! I definitely recommend The Help! I just finished it!
And many of the others are on my list thanks to (in)courage recommendations. 🙂
I started The Help a month or so ago, but a few things came up and I had to return it to the library before I got very far! Can’t wait to actually read it all!
You will LOVE Hunger Games! EEek!
And the rest of them sound fabulous, too! 😉

Ok, now I’m even more excited to read it!
So honored to be included on this list Erin! Love the others on your list. I guess I need to read The Hunger Games since everyone is talking about it. And I really want to read Grace for the Good Girl too.
Thanks for including us!
Jessica
P.S. My hubby is from Nebraska. We just visited there in October!
I’ve really enjoyed how down-to-earth your book is! I’ve had two other children, but it’s been a little while and your book has been just the right thing to walk me through this pregnancy! Thanks!
Awesome list! I have One Bite at a Time, but haven’t started it yet. I totally agree about reading The Help before seeing the movie. I did that, as well. I will be Grace for the Good Girl this year, too! I’m due in 5 weeks, and Unbound Birth sounds interesting… this is the second time I’ve heard about that ebook this week!
Great list!
Thanks for including my book, Erin! It’s funny, b/c I know Jessica (Pregnancy Companion)!! Her sister in law is my old roommate and a dear friend of mine. 🙂 Small world huh?
Loved the Hunger Games! The Help was good too (but not as good as I thought it would be… everyone RAVED about it so much!) I just watched the movie last night. 🙂
P.S. You’re an adorable pregnant chic!
Money Saving Mom is on my list for the year too, and I’m already almost through it. It’s very good so far!
