Hi, I’m Erin and I’m a mother of boys.
If you’re a regular reader, you may or may not be one as well. Or maybe you are visiting because you heard something new was coming.
Either way, let me share my heart with you for a minute.
I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to raising boys. I grew up with one sister. Yes, I love sports more than the average girl, but that hardly gives me an advantage at this point in the game with my boys being four and under! Maybe a good “in” as they grow up, but that is all!
So I’ve been looking for help. Looking to connect with Christian moms of boys who have been there, done that. And those who are doing it now. Those with questions like mine and those with answers.
And God led me very clearly to this…
The M.O.B. Society
The name comes from a good friend (who you’ll hear from if you stick with me here) who had the same vision, just in real life – connecting Christian Mothers Of Boys. Helping one another out – whether it is with one boy, two boys, or more than a few boys!
And ultimately, it’s all about raising our sons to be godly men, men of character, men who seek the Lord with all their heart.
So that is the goal of the M.O.B. Society. Sharing stories that makes laugh, cry, say “ah ha!” and most of all, relate to one another. We have some amazing moms of boys ready to share, but this is for all of us and here is what you can do to get involved…
- Subscribe to Home with the Boys by feed or e-mail to keep up with the fabulous guest posts, reviews and giveaways that will be featured through the M.O.B. Society!
- Put the sweet M.O.B. Society button, created by the lovely and talented Cherie over at Heart and Soul Reflections, in your sidebar to let your readers know you’re in! It will be up on the Blog Flair page soon!
- Join the M.O.B. Society discussions in the Home with the Boys BlogFrog community or start your own! If starting a new one, please include M.O.B. somewhere in the title!
- Tweet it up! Use the hashtag #mobsociety to find, encourage and pray for each other on Twitter!
- Read the fabulous guest posts and give them some comment love – starting with the first one, which will be up today!
UPDATED ways to get involved…
- Follow @TheMobSociety on Twitter along with the #mobsociety hashtag.
- “Like” our Facebook page and join in on some fun conversations!

I am praying that we will all be blessed by the M.O.B. Society – and that I will learn something along the way!
All children are a gift from the Lord. Our gifts just happen to be male and there was no instruction manual! Let’s figure this out and love on our boys together!
Okay, I don’t have a boy … but as the mother of a little girl, I am so thankful for this sweet ministry and fellowship you are starting! I pray daily for my future son-in-law – that his parents will nurture his love for the Lord and raise him to be a godly man and leader in the home. What a blessing for me to read of moms who are joining together to encourage one another in these pursuits!! I’ll never be a member of the MOB Society – but I’ll be praying for you all!!
awesome! I’m in 🙂
You already know I think this is such a wonderful idea! 🙂
I linked to your post today on my blog! Although, I didn’t put the button on yet since I didn’t have a code! 🙂

What a fabulous idea!! I will definitely be back. I am the mommy of one boy (and one girl).
This will be so fun!! I only have one sister to, but my husband has 5 other brothers!! Talk about a shock when I first visited their house!! =) Now I’m learning w/ my own little guy!! Thanks for doing this, Erin! =)
Congratulations Erin! Everything looks great! Looks like lots of moms need your help with their boys!!
Great! My 3 boys are challenging me every day. The twins just turned 3 and the baby is 5 months. I’m sure it’ll only be more challenging as they get older.
Hi Erin! I’m so excited and blessed by this!! I have one boy who just turned 3!
If you need my help in any way, please let me know!!
Blessings to you!

This is such a great idea and a need! I am the mama of three boys ages 17, 13 and 12. There has been no greater joy in my life than being their mama but parenting boys can certainly be a challenge at times. Will be spreading the word about this awesome idea!
As a mom of three boys ages 8, 5, and 3. I can use all the help I can get! 🙂
ahhh… people who speak my language!
Hello! I’m a boys’ mom, and mine are a little older. . . I have one in college, one in high school, and one in middle school. I’ve been doing the mother-of-boys thing for 19 years, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!
Rearing boys to be both manly and godly is a tough task. I love the idea of our learning from one another!
I am so in. Sometimes I am just lost with the boys…this will be great.
I love raising boys!
Oh, yeah!
Love it! Am I missing where to grab the button, though?
Hey Shell! We’re still working on getting it up – sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience! It WILL be up soon!
As one of 3 girls growing up and now raising 3 boys, I’m always learning new things about them… 🙂 Nice to know I’m not alone.
I have two boys and I am all in!

Great idea! I’m in, with one boy (and four girls and a sister, only!)!
I have one boy. And I grew with 3 sisters. 🙂
I’m totally in. I have 1 boy and 1 girl. They’re both fun, but SO very different!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE being a “boy mama”…I know that God created me specifically to love, encourage, and challenge them to be godly men. I am thrilled to be a part of a group that encourages other MOB’s in their pursuit to raise men of character! Nice to meet y’all! ~ Melissa
Looking forward to trekking along with you on the journey of raising boys into godly men. I have 2 boys of my own and 1 step son. As well as a daughter of my own and a step daughter! Would love to share tips, stories and prayers with you!

Boys are unique creatures. As a mom to 2 boys ages 15 and 8, I have seen so many stages in the life of a man in the making. Excited to be part of a group as we encourage one another in raising Godly men together.
I have a 3 year old boy so I’m following!
I’m IN! I’m a mom of two boys….TODDLERS! ONE YEAR APART….AHHHHHHHHHH….BUt worth every min of it!
Oh, I’m totally in! When you said, “I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to raising boys. I grew up with one sister.” I thought, that’s me! I say or think that all the time! So excited to follow your website. 🙂
I am a mother of 2 boys – 3 1/2 years old and 11 months old. I’m excited to have found this blog! I surely need to know that I’m not the only one experiencing the daily “fun” of having boys.
Hi Erin,
I am the only parent of 2 boys. I have had the good fortune to be the older sister of 3 brothers, thus resutling in my having been a tomboy (hey it was either do what the majority did or sit and watch from the sidelines!) I hope and pray that it gives me some insight to mother these 2 boys of mine!
I’m so in! I have 3 boys 9, 7, and 4. It’s nice when you can talk to someone that actually gets the Batman-Legoese.
In! 4 boys (9/7/5/4), 1 girl (2).
Hey Erin, I’m a mother of 5 boys ages, 10, 9, 4, 2, and 7 mos. I homeschool. Every day has a new challenge, it seems. And some days I wonder, “Lord, am I getting through to them?” 🙂 I would love to share what I have learned and would love to hear other’s opinions and stories. I will definitely be visiting back.
I am so in, I just had little boy number four! (12-9-6-7 weeks) Can’t wait to read what you’ve got going. Keep me posted.
I just stumbled on your site from another link and feel like I have found a kindred spirit. I, too, am a “MOB.” I look forward to checking out your other MOB Society site and joining in!
Thanks
Chris
