I’ve had my eyes on a Henkaa dress for quite a while. Maybe obsessing a little bit.
A Henkaa dress is the perfect item for any woman to have in her capsule wardrobe because it can be worn so many ways. And a Henkaa dress is the perfect investment for a mom because it can be worn before, during, and after pregnancy – not many clothes in our closet can do that, right ladies?! I wish I had a Henkaa dress when I was having babies!
My first Henkaa dress, the Iris Midi, arrived last week and I’ve had so much fun styling it! The fun thing about the Iris is that is has SLEEVES! Yes, sleeves, but it can also be styled as a sleeveless or strapless dress, too! Talk about versatile!
The style on the left was for a date night with The Hubby! The fabric of the Iris is so luxurious – perfect for getting fancy and throwing on some heels for a night out! In that style, the halter top was made by tying the sleeves behind the neck.
For the style on the right, I went a little more casual with some of my favorite fair trade accessories from (affiliate link) The Root Collective and Work of Worth! This would be a great look for brunch or a baby shower. I love that the sleeves make this dress a piece I can keep in my closet year-round!

Would love the violet dress. I’m just coming out of a period of two years where I haven’t slept or very little. Consequently I have gained over 60 lbs. I am in the process of loosing it slowly but am learning to embrace the me that’s inside of me. I love this dress and the company looks so interesting as well. I’m going to have to poke around their site some more. I would probably end up with gray like yours because i love that and you could pair it with so many accessories. (I find it comical to “hear” myself talk this way since I’m pretty fashion inept). But I also think the Robin’s Egg Blue is very pretty or the lighter gray or even the brown. Too many options! Where would I wear it? The colors are all great, and though I’d be tempted to play it safe and say black I think the plum purple is lovely and would probably be the best color for me! Definitely the Royal Blue. You never need a special occasion like Mother’s Day with these types of dresses since you can find a style suitable for any location or any occasion. I’m not sure if would even get the chance to wear it myself since my two girls would want a try at it, and that kind of special moment with my daughters would be extremely memorable.

I have loved this brand from afar for so long! I love how adaptable it is for different occasions. Being a teacher I could never spend this much on a dress. But, if I had the extra money, I’d choose the charcoal grey even though the blue is beautiful. I would wear it in the Lynne style for an alone brunch with my husband (Which hasn’t been since before I had my son almost 3 years ago). Then, I would make him take me out for music and drinks later that evening too. I would switch it to the Tia style for that. (I’d also have to wear it Diane style for my middle school’s Honors/graduation Day! How fun is a dress that you can wear multiple ways!?

Hmm choosing a color is hard! My natural choice would be teal or the purple BUT I’m trying to be more practical these days so I would end up buying the gray because of how versatile it is. In years past I would have said I want to spend mother’s day out shopping alone. But this year God has been doing some things in my family’s life because of some circumstances we’ve been walking through so I just want to be with them, even if that means hanging in our pjs and eating popcorn and watching a movie! 🙂

I’d pick the royal blue because it’s my favorite color. My sister-in-law bought one of these convertible Henkaa dresses for my wedding years ago and it was so amazing. It seemed like an amazing dress and I wanted to buy one but could never justify spending so much on a dress. The fact that they now have built in sleeves makes me want one even more. On mother’s day I would wear it while I spent the day with my toddlers, I think it would make a great cover-up for the beach!
