Friday sounds like a good day for a giveaway, don’t you think?! I’ve got one from Tommy Nelson that your elementary-age boys will LOVE!
Totally Awesome, Super-Cool Bible Stories as Drawn by Nerdy Ned has been a big hit with six-year-old Big J!
Perfect for ages 6-10, this breakthrough product in the super-popular sketch comic art genre shares Bible stories from the International Children’s Bible with commentary by “Ned!” The boys have been reading and laughing out loud at Ned’s take on Bible stories!
The illustrations look like they are right out of any kid’s doodling notebook and the book includes blank pages for your guy or gal to do some doodling himself…
Such a fun, engaging idea for visual learners and artistic types!
We’re giving away one copy of Totally Awesome, Super-Cool Bible Stories as Drawn by Nerdy Ned to one of you!

I keep most of my kids’ artwork from Sunday School, but I’ll admit that some of it goes in the trash!
I don’t, but that doesn’t mean I feel a twinge of guilt when I do. Then when I get caught, it’s really bad. 😉
I used to keep every last page of it. That is why I had literally containers full of “treasures” from our first two children. But, when more children came along, we just ran out of room, so, no, only a few get saved now. 🙂
I try to keep a few of our favorite things for the year.
No, I don’t keep them all. I just try to keep a few of the special things that they seem to be super proud of or really into.
Nope! I take a picture of it or of them holding it. If it is really cool, I will blog about it too. =)
I do not keep the art work from Sunday School.
This is my dilemma with anything the kids draw! I have been trying to just save the ones that are really meaningful or show progress in their art work!
I admit that I trash most of it. There’s a couple of special pieces a year that I put away for each child, but they bring home a lot of seasonal pieces from church that I keep until the holiday/season is over so that it gets properly displayed.
I kept all of my son’s artwork at first then started running out of space. I now only keep a few “special” pieces and throw away the rest (when he is not looking, of course).
My wife and I are leaving on December 3 to retrieve our newly adopted children – one of them is a 6 year old boy! I would LOVE to be able to give him one of these for Christmas. I can’t wait to begin to teach both of our new children about Jesus!
I do keep some, I think it is a great reminder of their faith in Christ which is the most important thing of all!
When I had 1 child in class, I kept it all. Then I had 2 kids in class, I kept some. A couple of years later I have 5 kids and I keep even less. Boy those 1st born kiddos have it made! The 5th in line………..not so much. Can’t keep everything.
I keep the ones with their name or a particularly good lesson on them; otherwise i must recycle or be buried!
I have always enjoyed keeping my children as well as my grandchildren’s art work when they give me.
So far I have kept it, but may have to have a “sort the stash” time soon!
I really hope that I won’t but I have a feeling I might…
I keep most of it, but not every single item.
I.hate.paper. And my son is just shy of 3 so if I kept every single craft he did in Sunday School I’d be buried by the time he turns 8! ha! I do have a folder that I keep special art in and most of the time I keep his art on the fridge for a week so we can discuss what they talked about on Sunday.
I keep the best pieces of Sunday school art – otherwise I have too much paper clutter with four boys plus homeschooling!
Most of the time their art work gets shoved into my purse on our way to church, so usually when I pull it back out, it is in pretty bad shape!
I display their art for a week in a special spot outside their room so we can discuss it all week and then unless it is something they are extra proud of we do toss. We do pictures of them with their work if they ask, I want my kids to know what is special to them from church is special to me also. Artwork can really add up and we are all about simplicity and not just storing every scrap of paper they draw on. The learning of the bible is the priority not storing papers. I hope I am imparting that to my children.
I didn’t keep my children’s artwork from Sunday School. We moved around too much to keep much artwork. Have a little box of treasured ones.
No, I don’t keep them all but I do have the palm leaf my son made at Sunday School on Palm Sunday when he came out saying Hosanna, Hosanna (one of his first words).
Well we do not attend church (we do church at home) which is why I love resources like this!!! But I do have a tendency to keep too much of their artwork. I have finally resorted to taking photos of things so I don’t feel so guilty about getting rid of things. And I can still treasure their artwork for years to come! kbalman@gmail.com
We have 3 preschoolers so the daily papers plus what they do on Sunday morning is just too much. I can barely keep up with the papers that I need to act on, let alone the art. I only save art if it’s extra special. But I don’t let them see me throw it away!
No, I display it for a week or so and then recycle. 🙂
I do not keep EVERY piece of art from Sunday school or regular school. HOwever, many pieces of their art goes on the fridge… and come down when it begins to look too cluttered. 🙂
