There’s just something fun about new things, isn’t there?!
Nothing major, but we’ve had a few fun new things around our house this week – enough to make up a top ten post!
And listing all of these made me smile 🙂
Top Ten New Things In Our World This Week!
1. A new carseat for Little J…
2. A new scarf for Big J {made by mommy}…
3. A new schedule {or lack of it} because we are all on CHRISTMAS BREAK!
4. New ornaments on the tree from our Truth in the Tinsel activities…
5. New adjustments in our week with the little girl we used to watch not being around anymore because her mommy {and my wonderful friend} had…
6. A new baby girl, which the boys are TOTALLY excited about! {Can you tell?!}
{again, not our baby, just our dear friends’ new little girl!}
7. A new tradition of putting on the pjs, popping some popcorn, and hopping in the car to look at Christmas lights with Mannheim Steamroller and Harry Connick, Jr. Christmas CDs playing in the background…
8. New crochet patterns tried, including this adorable earflap newborn hat…
9. New excitement from Big J about playing the piano – he even memorized his favorite song!
10. New presents under the tree for each family member – oh, the anticipation around this house!

We’ve got new holiday stuff popping up around the house every day. New decorations here and there from school, new Christmas cards, new baking come out of the oven, new gifts slipping under the tree….

Nothing new at our house…just the usual chaos of preparing for our family to invade our house on Christmas (we’re expecting 23 total).
I guess new gifts under the tree would work…if I ever decide to do something new and actually wrap them before Christmas Eve!
The Truth in the Tinsel has helped us fill our tree too. We did a Christmas light car trip. What fun!
My son can write and spell his name now. He’s pretty excited.
I love the popcorn, PJ’s and Christmas lights idea! Going to have to do that with my 15, 13, and 8 year olds.
