We’re headed out of town for family Christmas celebrations, but we always like to have our own Christmas at home before we leave and that time this year was last night.
We started with our Advent reading from the Jesus Storybook Bible {one of my favorite things we do this time of year}…
And then Big J donned the Santa hat to hand out presents…
The boys were SO excited about their presents – lots of Legos and Cars 2 and Star Wars items! This is a 100% boy house!
And of course, present opening had to be followed with “some assembly acquired” by Daddy…
And the watching of one of the Charlie Brown Christmas specials while they waited…
And then the playing commenced…
And me?
Well, I was under the impression the hubby and I weren’t spending a whole lot on each other.
Then I opened my box…
And I cried. The boys thought something was terribly wrong.
Nope, nothing wrong here boys. I just got my first DSLR and I am in SHOCK!
As the boys often say when they open presents, “It’s just what I’ve ALWAYS wanted!” And it really is EXACTLY what I’ve wanted for quite some time.
The hubby sure knows how to buy a Christmas present that will leave me speechless! So blessed by that man!

Soo sweet!! I love opening my email to see your posts everyday, mainly because I love seeing the pictures of all your boys! (I have three girls, so the boys make me smile. Especially blonde hair and blue eyes. My husband is half-Persian, so even though I am blonde with blue eyes, we will probably never have kids looking like me!)
