Welcome to our monthly feature focused on Seeds Family Worship and their work to plant the seeds of God’s Word in the hearts of our children!
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Deuteronomy 6:4-7
This verse is at the very heart of what the Seeds Family Worship team does day in and day out – they invest in the spiritual development of our children in so many ways, not just through music.
A year ago, the Seeds team had a conversation with a mom who said she has her children keep prayer journals even before they can write — they start out drawing pictures of their prayers. She instructs them daily to draw about either something they are thankful about or someone they are praying for.
Based on her idea, Seeds printed these precious little prayer journals…
Isn’t that a wonderful way to get the kiddos started with journaling?!
Want some for your little ones?
Seeds is giving away prayer journals to some of you lovely readers and your children! Just leave a comment letting me know how many kids you have before Sunday night at 9:00 p.m. CST and I will use random.org to pick winners until the journals are all gone!

As I’m sure you’ve heard, it’s been a rough week in Nashville, where Seeds is headquartered, and for the rest of the south. The team was very fortunate…their individual homes, office, and inventory were spared. But so many friends and supporters of Seeds have lost so much. Please keep these people and communities in your prayers.
And the only thing we can do in these situations is trust in the Lord, so it seemed only fitting to pass this song along to each of you…
Enjoy this free download and share it with your precious kiddos!

And before I go, I also want to mention that Igniter Media is partnering with Seeds Family Worship in sending me to the Relevant Conference! I love their media work – including worship tracks for Seeds – and have started to share some of it on the blog. But the sharing has only just begun – stay tuned for more featured videos AND some sweet giveaways from Igniter Media! Can’t wait to fill you in on all of the details!
Have a blessed weekend and keep spreading the seeds!

One little girl who nightly thanks Jesus for her ceiling fan…because it’s the first thing she can see. 🙂
Love the prayer journal! At this time my little boy isn’t really drawing, but we do ask him who he wants to pray for nightly. Thanks Seeds!
What a great idea!! Love it!! I have 2 boys, one is a wee little guy though, my oldest is 8, he would love this. He loves to write and say his prayers as well 🙂
This is awesome. Both of my kids love to journal although my almost 5 yr old writes in pictures. We really need to start prayer journals and this would be a fantastic way. I am also praying for all of our Seeds friends in Nashville. The flood 2 yrs ago hit Iowa so Iowans know what they are going through. Have a blessed Mother’s Day!
Love it! How fun it would be to journal with my kids again! We have 4!
