I met Lisa Bergren briefly at a MOPS Convention a few years back. I think we had tweeted each other a few times before that, but I had only read the book she wrote as the MOPS theme book for that year.
Fast forward a few years and her books are popping up all over my reading radar and I adore them! She has authored fiction, young adult fiction, adorable children’s books, and much more. She also has an amazing book coming out this February that is super close to my heart. I cannot WAIT to share it with you.
But today it is about the kiddos, because Lisa has just released the sweetest ebook called That’s How Much I Love You!
Lisa wrote this precious book with her three children and it is a treasure. The illustrations by Kathryn E. Mills, featuring a mother and child dog, are just beautiful.
The mama and child dog go through their day telling just how much they love one another, which was a great jumping off point for the boys and I to have our own “I love you more” contest!
The dogs were a big hit to my animal-loving boys as well! Aren’t they super sweet?!
Sharing this ebook with my boys was such a treat, and it is simple enough that Little J can even read some of it to me as well – that makes it even more special 🙂
That’s How Much I Love You is available on Kindle and Nook right now! And until November 14, you can get the ebook for just $1.99 {regularly $2.99}! If you don’t have a Kindle or Nook, you can get a free Kindle or Nook app for just about any device or computer! We use the Kindle app on my iPad!
There is also a enhanced version of this ebook in the works for iBooks, including animation and read along options! I’ll let you know when that releases!
To celebrate this wonderful new ebook, Lisa is graciously giving away one reader’s choice of this ebook or the board book version of God Gave Us Love!
Through hugs & kisses, care & attention, and my words & prayers.
I tell my kids I love them all the time verbally, but I try to show them each in a way that speaks their love language. Sometimes, it’s hugs, gifts or just spending quality time together.
My daughters are 3 and 6.
I like to grab them at unexpected times and hug them tight and say “is that too much?” “how about that?” and kept hugging them until they can’t take it any more! 🙂
we also play “hug tag” — I chase them around and instead of just tagging, I pick them up and hug them.
I love to show affection to my girls! Sometimes I get the “stop! stop!” from them, or Lucy will say “enough mama!” But they always come back for more! I also try and do something special for them, little unexpected things, favorite snacks, lunchbox notes, etc.
Thanks, Erin, for the shout-out! We had a technical glitch with the Nook version. It should be back up tomorrow. 🙂
I give my kiddos lots of hugs & kisses every day. We also say ” I love you” a lot. I don’t let a day go by that I don’t tell my sweet boys I love them.
I tell my daughter throughout the day in any way I can. I love reading books to her about how much we love her.
The best way to show my kids i love them is having a smile for them waiting as they walk in the door (or around the corner, when they wake up, whenever they catch me out of the corner of their eye…)
They love to be tickled & I’m the best tickler in our house!
Telling my boys I love them is being there for them for the hugs and kisses when they are happy and things are well, but also for the hugs and kisses when they are upset and things are not going so well.
Oh, so many ways! Through touch, laughter, praise…to name a few. 🙂 This book looks really sweet.
