Veggie Super Heroes!

You cannot even imagine the excitement around our house when the trailer for The League of Incredible Vegetables came on before another Veggie Tales movie.

And then I showed it to the boys 🙂

The DVD arrived in our mailbox the other day and it did not disappoint! My super heroes needed to get into character right away…

The message of The League of Incredible Vegetables is one of overcoming fear – a message my boys picked up on very clearly in the first watching.

In fact, Big J told me his favorite part was when Junior realized he no longer had anything to fear because he trusted in God! And then my heart melted…

Obviously, Little J liked “the part where the little guy bounces all over the place!” {said with wild, crazy hand movements to illustrate}

And my favorite part? The AWESOME theme song from the Newsboys, which you can see right here:

I LOVE having a super hero movie for the boys that focuses on the true source of all our strength and power! Thank you, Big Idea!

    We are superhero crazy around our house! We like them all…Larry Boy, Batman, Spiderman, Captain America, Wolverine & the list goes on. Our favorite (non-Veggie) superhero is probably Batman.

    I would love to share this with my daughter. She is not into traditional super heroes, but I would love for her to see the true place of strength and power!

    My little dude is having a superhero birthday party this weekend! And he loves “VEGGIES!!!” He’d go crazy over this movie!

    Well this month it is Batman… my two year old Grandson is batman crazy!! His Mom told me he even wore his batman PJ’s complete with cap to church one Sunday… (you pick your battles…LOL) but from the time he could utter words he has insisted on “veggies” DVD’s. We LOVE them too!! thanks…. Nana

    We were able to watch the premier of this Veggie Tales at our local Family Christian bookstore, and like your boys, my kids loved the show an our wanting their own copy so they can watch it over and over…they also couldn’t wait to get home to run around the yard playing super heros. AND we listened to the Newsboys song over and over all the way home! It was a great morning!

    My favorite super hero has to be “Thingambob”. 😉

    Right now it’s pretty tight race between Captain Sun and Superman 🙂 I prefer Captain Sun who tells about Jesus 🙂

    My son (4yrs old) likes Larryboy but not really into “traditional” super heroes. He says the one who is in charge is Jesus. He says “mommy we follow God and not the snake.”

    My son isn’t old enough (22 months) to be into superheroes yet, but I love LarryBoy!
