Last weekend, the boys and I headed back to the town where I taught elementary music for their community Fun Days and, specifically, for the parade!
The boys haven’t been to many parades, but they quickly remembered just how much fun they are!
AND they had their first funnel cake – which means I have succeeded as a mother.
The boys’ favorite parts – the tractors and fire trucks. And the candy. Of course.
My favorite parts – the marching band and seeing lots of former colleagues and students! And the funnel cake. Of course.

Have you been to a parade lately? What are your favorite parts?
Looks like so much fun! 🙂 And we just love funnel cake here! It is a treat in which we indulge during our yearly visit to the beach/boardwalk. Yummy! 🙂
We went to a community parade a couple of months back that was a lot of fun. My boys loved the military vehicles and fire engines and our daughter loved the musicians and gymnasts.
Many blessings,
Lisa

Mmmmmm . . . funnel cake.
Tell Stephen that I put a shiny gold star on my calendar last night to mark the occasion of him agreeing with me. 🙂
I too am a successful mom, as I introduced my kids to funnel cakes last fall. We decided the cinnamon and sugar ones are our favorites!
I haven’t been to a parade in almost a year – sad isn’t it? I love parades, too. I love the atmosphere the most!
Such cute boys!!!
I think I will make some homemade funnel cakes soon. mmmm..

LOVE parades – especially when my daughter is marching! LOVE funnel cakes, too…just had one at the Saltdogs game…YUM…
Favorite part is definitely the bands, and it’s great watching my kiddos get excited about everything, too. And yes, they love the candy…so does their Daddy. 🙂
