Big J turned four this past week and we did a few fun things to celebrate on his actual birthday!
Starting with birthday donuts for breakfast…
I felt so blessed to snuggle with him on the couch in the afternoon and realized as we laid there that exactly four years ago at that time, I held him for the first time. Talk about a sweet memory!
Dinner was his choice, which obviously meant McDonalds for “chicken and fries!”
And then it was to Toys R Us for a crown & balloon for the birthday boy…
We did a little looking for his birthday present – a big boy bike – but no decisions yet! He had fun trying them out!
Hard to believe that our firstborn is 4 already – time really DOES fly!

My oldest will be 5 in June and my youngest 3 next month. I remember those sweet first days too and I miss the innocence of it…the newness of it. But sometimes when I look at them or push their hair back from their forehead I see that same sweet baby face…and I’m in love all over again. Happy Birthday Big J!
