10 Favorite Christian Running Songs {May 2013}

works for me wednesday at we are that familyIt’s race week and running is at the forefront of my mind. In an effort to not freak out {especially after a crummy run yesterday!}, I’m going to focus on some of the things I love about running!

Today I’m thinking about music, and I have several playlists to share with you! First, I’ve found some GREAT Christian music to run to recently!

Here are my current favorite Christian running songs:

    I currently listening to Superchick, Rock what you got album. It has great tempo. “Rock What you’ve Got” and “One More Round” are my two favorites to run to. I love that Cd, in the middle there is a song called “Breathe” good time to remember that.

    A great song that gets me up and going is Stuart Townend’s “My Heart is Filled with Thankfulness.” You’ll love it.

  6. Awesome! I pinned your pin on Pinterest, and then in viewing the link I see we are Twitter friends! :) Love how God links things together for us. I used to use an iRiver. What do you use to play your tunes? I all ready run with my phone so perhaps I should download them there and plug in to run? Thank you!

  8. I love TobyMac – I have “Funky Jesus Music,” “Diverse City,” and “Showstopper” on my workout playlist. I also have Superchik “Roch What You Got.” I’m a HUGE Third Day fan, so I have “Rock Star,” “This Is Who I Am,” and “Have Mercy” (for the last part of my workout, lol).

  10. GOOD LUCK in your 1/2. I did one two weeks ago.

    I actually have play list I run to that I put together last year and have refined over the last year.

    It contains Mandisa’s Good Morning to start with (and smattered around a few other times at key points in the run) and then I have the “100 Christian Workout Songs” from amazon that I use…along with some Newsboys songs…and of course Shackles by Mary Mary.

  18. Well, I’m not a runner (yet!), but I started compiling songs I thought would be great for walking or running, and a lot of them have already been mentioned! I think my favorites would be “Good Morning” by Mandissa and “Move” by MercyMe. And pretty much anything Toby Mac has ever done. ;)

  22. I like BarlowGirl “Hello Sunshine” to start all of my half’s, I fell it preps me to see the beauty of the race and not the pain and endurance ;) Also BarlowGirl- Come Alive.
    Big Daddy Weave – Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel.
    Cadia – Inside Out.
    Lecrae – Fuego.
    Mercy Me – Move.
    Shawn McDonald – Take My Hand.
    Israel Houghton – Just Wanna Say.

Switchfoot, stellar kart, hawk Nelson, building 429, planet shakers, lacrae are all good upbeat tempo artists I like to run to… If I’m on a walk Lincoln Brewster, Chris Tomlin, casting Crowns, kari Jobe, crystal Yates, and Switchfoot are ones I like to take in scenery with:-)
