The Read-and-Share series from Tommy Nelson has always provided adorable, age-appropriate books and movies for preschool and early elementary age children. My children were first introduced to Read-and-Share through a DVD of the Christmas story and they were captivated from the beginning!
The latest offering in the Read-and-Share line, the Read-and-Share Bedtime Bible and Devotional, is a wonderful way to share the Word with your children as you wind down in the evening!
The first half of this book contains over 200 short Bible stories…
And each story has a very brief question or wrap-up lesson at the end…
For the little ones, this may be just enough for their attention span and participation level! Four-year-old Little J and I sat down to read a story and ended up reading four because he liked them so much!
To dive a little deeper into the Word, the second half of this book contains 50 topical devotions, with subjects including serving others, obedience, forgiveness, and holidays!
I almost missed the devotions in the back, so they were a surprise bonus for me! This story Bible was already winning my heart with the cute pictures and quick discussion starters – the more in-depth devotions are great option for an extended family Bible time!
If your family already knows the Read-and-Share characters, your kids will love them in this new Bible and devotional. And if you’re new to the series, this book is a GREAT place to start! And it would make a wonderful gift for a child either way! {Christmas is less than two months way…ahem…don’t panic…}
