Becoming a mother has been the most humbling experience of my life … I am confronted daily with my utter lack of ability to raise this child, with my urgent need for the Lord’s wisdom minute by minute.

I couldn’t have said it any better myself.

Teri Lynne is a dear friend of mine whom I had the privilege of hugging in person at the Relevant Conference. We bonded over football – she loves her Tigers {Auburn} and I love my Huskers. It would be tough to find two girls who love football more than us.

And while I love that bond we share, what I love even more is heart to teach and encourage women. I feel spurred on whenever I read her personal blog and I learn SO much over at Scripture Dig, where Teri Lynne is a regular contributor. Plus, she writes regularly at the MOB Society sister site, The MOD Squad!

Which leads me to why we’re here today! What started as a monthly column over at the MOD Squad, has turned into a fabulous ebook…

Teri Lynne shares the wisdom she has learned in her parenting journey in the ebook, Parenting from the Overflow. As I read through the book, I felt the need to highlight passage after passage, like this one…

The days I parent from my wisdom what pours out is weak and useless; but when I parent from the overflow of what He has shown me, what pours out is Him โ€“ strong and useful.

THIS is where I struggle as a mom. Trying to get by on my own, hurry throughout the day in my own way, just barely getting through the day because…

I am weak.

He is not.

And He is all I need to have the strength to get through the day as a mama – AND enjoy it.

Often, we KNOW this truth, but don’t know how to put it into practice, and that’s where Teri Lynne reaches out a hand to help us up…

Parenting from the overflow recognizes time spent in the Word is necessity not luxury. But parenting from the overflow also realizes that time in Scripture will sometimes be grabbed in minutes throughout the day rather than a long, uninterrupted hour.

The book explores the fruits of the Spirit and then applies them to our parenting journey. These fruits overflowing into our lives are the key to parenting without dragging through the day!

The encouragement shared in this ebook is so incredibly valuable and I am thrilled that Teri Lynne has put it together to sharpen you and I as moms! You can find out more about the book at the brand new {and gorgeous} Parenting from the Overflow website!

Oh wait, did I mention it is only $5 and ALL proceeds from this first edition of Parenting from the Overflow will be given to The Mercy House?!
