We’ve been a little under the weather around here – runny noses and all that fun winter stuff…

But we’re still working on our way through a verse a week using Seeds Family Worship!

This week’s verse is Matthew 7:7-8…

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; know and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”

(I love that I could type that all from memory!)

After doing a few activities with this verse, I decided we would take another week on it – being flexible! – just to really let it sink in AND help the boys understand it better! There is a lot to learn in those two verses!

So a vlog will be up next week, but I wanted to share a few of the activities we have been or will be doing in conjunction with this song…

*We are using the wonderful printables from Bible Story Printables again – here is the link for Matthew 7:7-8. Every week, we print off a sheet to put on the fridge with the whole verse, a flipbook for Big J to read, and coloring sheets for both of the boys. The pictures are very cute, too!

*My favorite kids’ activity blog, Impress Your Kids, posted an activity this week to make a prayer banner to go with Philippians 4:6 and “A is for Ask” in the book Big Thoughts for Little People. It is a precious activity that teaches the importance of prayer and fits right in with our verse this week too! THIS is on our list to do!

*And again from Impress Your Kids, this fabulous prayer box idea is SO cool!

*We have a few other activities up our sleeves for the vlog next week – trying to get creative to help my little guys memorize AND learn the meaning of this wonderful verse!

They are already singing the song all around the house – literally music to my ears!

Come back next week for a vlog of all our Matthew 7:7-8 fun!
