We don’t buy much, but we enjoy our wanderings around the local Farmers’ Market all the same.
Beautiful colors, handmade goods, local food. It is a feast for the eyes, from the ordinary – corn and radishes – to the unusual and special – ostrich eggs and gorgeous jewelry.
What a blessing to see the work of others’ hands all gathered together in this vibrant setting!
What are your favorite places to wander?

Wisconsin Dells! They have the most beautiful gift shops and antique stores. Lovely lovely.
I love farmers markets. Great photos!
Great collection of photos! What a fun and colorful day.
Do you happen to know the vendor for that red and black football attire… complete with tutu??? I am getting ready for a photo shoot of little girls whose daddy coaches a high school football team … red and black are the colors!!!! … Most I’ve seen on-line are all the pastels… if you could let me know or find out… I would be very grateful!!!! So cute and perfect for what I have in mind!!!! Thanks!
Wow! I didn’t realize that Lincoln had such a variety at their Farmer’s Market.
This was such a nice post and a great reminder that we can find joy in the “just looking” of life. We attended a festival this week and I was a little bummed that we didn’t have any money to spend, but I ended up having a terrific time enjoying the view.
We miss our North Georgia (a bit more country) farmer’s markets desperately! Have yet to find anything quite like it here… Great pictures! And what a fun family day! 🙂
These are amazing!! Colors are incredible. Looks like fun anyhow…
I love the lincoln farmer’s market — I wrote about it a month or so ago on the blog, too! The boys and I also love to wander at Spring Creek Prairie — a natural grasslands (Audubon Center) outside Lincoln (wrote about that this week, too), and the Arboretum at the UNL East Campus. We love being outdoors in nature!
