Oh yes, let the birthday fun continue!
The boys spent the weekend with Grandpa and Grandma Mac, so Friday was our chance to celebrate the hubby’s 30th birthday (from two weeks ago)! It was also the day of his last test of this academic year for med school, so there was extra reason to celebrate.
By the time his party rolled around, the hubby knew who was coming and that it was outside, but I managed to keep the exact location secret until he got there! And that location was this beautiful pond on our friend’s parents land just outside of town…
It was a very casual event – perfect for eating, chatting and enjoying the amazing weather the Lord blessed us with. I have to admit, I had several moments of panic throughout the week as the forecast included rain right up until that day, but other than a little wind, everything was perfect!
Including the pies…
The food – letting the birthday boy go first, obviously…
The paddleboats…
YES – PADDLEBOATS!!! (So fun and peaceful out on the pond!)
And fishing…
(No, he didn’t ACTUALLY eat it – I think the little guy even got thrown back!)
Even a bonfire, complete with roasted hot dogs and s’mores…
And most importantly, fellowship with our closest friends…
The hubby felt SO loved and blessed, which was exactly the goal! He even got to hit some golf balls – his dream birthday party for sure!
And I felt blessed by all of the wonderful, amazing friends that helped make it possible – you know who you are – LOVE YOU!!! *MUAH*
And with that, the birthday craziness is over…for now!
I wouldn’t put it past Shiloh to eat the fish. 🙂
Thanks for a great party!
Ok… now that looks like a GREAT birthday celebration! You couldn’t ask for a better spot!
